Meet The Team

Stephen heads the day to day running of the Monaghan Freight Operation. When he is not helping with the company planning, organising a project job, or out on site you are likely to find him on the top of a mountain somewhere on his enduro bike covered in Mud!

Married with 4 kids. Stephen plans to push Monaghan Freight firmly into the future, adapting new operating procedures, building a strong team and ensuring Monaghan Freight become Market leaders in their industry sector.

Dermot is heavily involved in the day to day running and maintenance of the Monaghan Freight Fleet of trucks and trailers. With a professional background in the construction industry he brings a fresh head to the growth and development of the company. Working closely with Stephen they have pushed the company growth to the stage it is now at.

Again an avid Motorcycle Rider he likes to keep his wheels on the tarmac and enjoys taking his BMW 1000R out for a spin when the weather allows it.

As the head Transport Manager in Monaghan Freight, Brendan has an overall view of the operational and non operational sectors of the business. With 40+ years experience of truck operations, mechanics and problem solving he is in an ideal position to ensure the companies growth is going in the correct direction.

With the companies operations and fleet increasing yearly himself and Dermot are at the forefront of ensuring standards are achieved and maintained right across the business.

When Brendan is not in the yard, or dealing with the many problems of the transport industry he enjoys spending time with his family, going on motorcycle tours and visiting new places.

Karen heads up the daily operation of the Monaghan Freight Office and its team. Highly organised, invested in the companies growth and eager to learn the industry inside out.

Not coming from a transport background Karen has really brought a fresh head to growth plans at Monaghan Freight. Professional and friendly, Karen is most likely the first voice you will hear when you ring the Monaghan Freight office.

When Karen is not in the office keeping us all right, she is at home giving her husband and kids numerous DIY jobs to complete. Loves a good party and the odd glass of red wine at the weekends…

Wilson is Karen's right hand man. Processing permit applications, customs documents, gathering up POD’s and Liaising with all the drivers.

His role is quintessential in the overall operation of the Monaghan Freight fleet, the organisation of its key sub-contractors and the requirements of all its clients.

He has a good few years’ experience within the transport industry (we’ll not say how many), he may be one of the newest members of the team but his eagerness to learn has given him a place within the Specialist transport industry, where everyday is a school day as they say.

When Wilson is not knees deep in Permit or Customs paperwork, he enjoys indulging in some of his  many interests which include Motorbiking, rallying and sipping on Irish Whiskey.

Not a big fan of DIY, so all we can say is that its lucky he only works with Karen.

What do you do when you need to push professionally into the shipping and projects industry? You add an expert in this field into the team.

Jay comes from an extensive Shipping and project cargo background. Working closely with Stephen on project cargo jobs they have the combined Knowledge to create unique solutions for Monaghan Freight clients. Jay is based in the companies Heathrow Office in the UK.

Working remotely a lot of the time, when she is not dealing with all the problems associated with the shipping industry, she is jet setting around the world, or lying up on the beach in Dubai when over visiting her daughter. Laptop with her off course….

The real backbone of the growth of Monaghan Freight. Annemarie has been with the company from the beginning and her directional approach to accounts operations has been instrumental in the companies growth.

Working closely with everyone on the Monaghan Freight team she has moulded the accounts process into all aspects of the operation allowing for a more accurate experience for not only the clients but the team.

Again Annemarie works remotely. Unless you have a tracker on her Campervan you just wouldn’t know where she's going to be from one day to the next.

Loves to travel, spend time with friends, family and looking after her grandchild.

Denise looks after all things Accounting and Credit Control. Juggling the accounts remotely and keeping crazy kids in line she really has her hands full.

You’ve guessed it. Denise is married to Stephen, probably the easiest job she has! When she’s not crunching the numbers with Annemarie, Denise loves nothing more than a long walk with the dog, tending to her chickens or sitting down to a nice espresso Martini.

Paul is the face behind our truck S17 MFL. Hard working and driven, Paul has been with the company the last few years.

Eager to learn and always up for a Challenge. An Asset to the company.

When Paul’s not out on the road he’s at home being spoiled by Alma, sipping on a pint or up a mountain with Stephen covered in muck on the enduro bike.

David is the face behind the Big Renault in the fleet S50 MFL. And no he’s not French.

Another hard working and professional member of the team. With great experience in everything abnormal load, David can put his hand to any job put in front of him.

When David isn’t in the truck he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 kids. Farming mad, he loves tractors and the smell of cut grass!

Alan is the face behind the 120ton Double drive of the fleet S30 MFL. Alan has years of experience. His can do attitude and friendly demeanour make him an asset to the company.

When he’s not making his way up and down the Motorways of the UK with one crazy load or the next he’s watching Arsenal on the TV.

Ivor is the face of S26 MFL. Friendly and professional, Ivor has been a great addition to the Monaghan Freight Team. He brings with him a wealth of experience and enjoys a good challenge.

When he’s not at work he loves Watching the rugby on the TV, and spending time with his wife and kids.

Michael is the face of S18 MFL. He lives and operates for us out of Dublin. His close proximity to Dublin Port leaves him in a perfect position to handle our jobs in and around the Dublin Area. Relatively new to the company he really has took to the role with ease. His friendly demeanour and professional attitude makes him fit in perfectly into the Monaghan Freight team.

Married with Kids, Michael enjoys playing Golf and running. And on occasion, watching his favourite team on TV Man Utd. (Can’t make good decisions all the time!!)

Marty is our only UK based driver. Scottish true and true, Marty has moulded into the Monaghan Freight team perfectly. A real grafter, Marty is not afraid to put in the work and cover the miles.

Outside of work Marty loves the football, heading to the gym and spending time with family and friends.
