Meet The Team

Stephen heads the day to day running of the Monaghan Freight Operation. When he is not helping with the company planning, organising a project job, or out on site you are likely to find him on the top of a mountain somewhere on his enduro bike covered in Mud!

Married with 4 kids. Stephen plans to push Monaghan Freight firmly into the future, adapting new operating procedures, building a strong team and ensuring Monaghan Freight become Market leaders in their industry sector.

Dermot is heavily involved in the day to day running and maintenance of the Monaghan Freight Fleet of trucks and trailers. With a professional background in the construction industry he brings a fresh head to the growth and development of the company. Working closely with Stephen they have pushed the company growth to the stage it is now at.

Again an avid Motorcycle Rider he likes to keep his wheels on the tarmac and enjoys taking his BMW 1000R out for a spin when the weather allows it.

Karen heads up the daily operation of the Monaghan Freight Office and its team. Highly organised, invested in the companies growth and eager to learn the industry inside out.

Not coming from a transport background Karen has really brought a fresh head to growth plans at Monaghan Freight. Professional and friendly, Karen is most likely the first voice you will hear when you ring the Monaghan Freight office.

When Karen is not in the office keeping us all right, she is at home giving her husband and kids numerous DIY jobs to complete. Loves a good party and the odd glass of red wine at the weekends…

What do you do when you need to push professionally into the shipping and projects industry? You add an expert in this field into the team.

Jay comes from an extensive Shipping and project cargo background. Working closely with Stephen on project cargo jobs they have the combined Knowledge to create unique solutions for Monaghan Freight clients. Jay is based in the companies Heathrow Office in the UK.

Working remotely a lot of the time, when she is not dealing with all the problems associated with the shipping industry, she is jet setting around the world, or lying up on the beach in Dubai when over visiting her daughter. Laptop with her off course….

The real backbone of the growth of Monaghan Freight. Annemarie has been with the company from the beginning and her directional approach to accounts operations has been instrumental in the companies growth.

Working closely with everyone on the Monaghan Freight team she has moulded the accounts process into all aspects of the operation allowing for a more accurate experience for not only the clients but the team.

Again Annemarie works remotely. Unless you have a tracker on her Campervan you just wouldn’t know where she's going to be from one day to the next.

Loves to travel, spend time with friends, family and looking after her grandchild.

Denise looks after all things Accounting and Credit Control. Juggling the accounts remotely and keeping crazy kids in line she really has her hands full.

You’ve guessed it. Denise is married to Stephen, probably the easiest job she has! When she’s not crunching the numbers with Annemarie, Denise loves nothing more than a long walk with the dog, tending to her chickens or sitting down to a nice espresso Martini.

Paul is the face behind our truck S26 MFL. Hard working and driven, Paul has been with the company the last few years.

Eager to learn and always up for a Challenge. An Asset to the company.

When Paul’s not out on the road he’s at home being spoiled by Alma, sipping on a pint or up a mountain with Stephen covered in muck on the enduro bike.

Marty is an experienced heavy haulage driver for Monaghan Freight, bringing dedication and personality to every journey he takes. With years on the road and a strong work ethic, he’s a valued part of the team.

Outside of work, Marty keeps busy with a wide range of interests. He enjoys staying active at the gym, capturing moments through photography, and taking to the skies with his drone. A passionate supporter of Celtic, he rarely misses a match, and his love of music is never far behind. And yes—at 45, he’s still a big fan of WWE.

Driving is clearly in the blood, as Marty’s son is also part of the Monaghan Freight team, making it a true family affair both on and off the road.

Liam plays a vital role in the day to day operations of Monaghan Freight, from booking boats, liasing with drivers, customers and the likes, Liam never has a dull day, Or night sometimes. With a strong eye for detail and organisation, there's nothing Liam enjoys better than when the plan comes together. When Liam gets a chance he loves to get out and about and help the guys where needed, whether it be in the lorry helping load a trailer for a Customer or in one of the escort Vehicles assisting with abnormal loads.
In his spare time, Liam loves playing darts with the lads or heading away to football matches or trucks shows. 

Emma is an office administrator at Monaghan Freight, playing a vital role in keeping operations organised and running efficiently. Her responsibilities span a wide range of tasks, including general administration, customs clearance, permit applications, arranging escort runs, and coordinating closely with drivers to ensure all paperwork is in order. She also works alongside the accounts team on invoicing, contributes to marketing efforts, and supports transport planning, making her a key link across multiple areas of the business.

Outside of work, Emma enjoys staying active, whether that’s at the gym or out for a run. She also loves spending time with her dog, Ellie, making the most of her downtime whenever she can.

With her strong organisational skills and proactive approach, Emma is an integral part of the Monaghan Freight team.

Niall is the yard man at Monaghan Freight, playing a key role in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. From organising the yard to supporting the drivers, he’s an essential part of the day-to-day operation and always ready to lend a hand where needed.

Outside of work, Niall enjoys spending quality time with his family, making the most of his downtime. He also loves getting out with his pals, revving around the mountains on his bike and enjoying the freedom of the outdoors.

With his strong work ethic and easy-going nature, Niall is a valued member of the Monaghan Freight team.

Behind the wheel during the week, Stuart is a dedicated lorry driver who knows the value of hard work and long miles. But when the weekend rolls around, life shifts gears. You’ll usually find him on the sidelines, cheering on the kids at football and boxing—proud, loud, and always present.

When he's not playing taxi to training sessions, He's in the kitchen cooking up a proper feast. Whether it’s a Saturday night treat or a big Sunday spread, he takes pride in serving up something special. Truth be told, if he wasn’t out on the road, he probably be a chef—though his wife Gemma might have a few things to say about that!

Robbie is a dedicated heavy haulage driver with Monaghan Freight and our newest addition to their growing line-up. His passion for trucks began at a young age and has only grown stronger over the years, turning a childhood fascination into a rewarding career on the road. A proud dad to three wonderful kids, Robbie values family above all else. When he’s not behind the wheel, he enjoys spending quality time at home with his wife, Jennifer, and their children. In his downtime, he also likes to unwind with a bit of online gaming whenever he gets the chance.
With a strong work ethic, genuine love for the industry, and a commitment to both his job and family, Robbie brings both experience and enthusiasm to every journey he takes.

Harry is a heavy haulage driver for Monaghan Freight, based in the UK, and a valued member of the team known for his focus and reliability on the road. With a strong passion for driving, he takes pride in delivering every load safely and efficiently.

When he’s not working, Harry enjoys spending quality time with his family—but he also has a serious adventurous side. A self-confessed adrenaline junkie, he’s always chasing his next thrill, whether it’s fast cars, bungee jumping, skydiving, or heading off to festivals.

Balancing family life with a love for high-energy experiences, Harry brings both dedication and excitement to everything he does.

Dom is a skilled heavy haulage driver for Monaghan Freight, bringing both passion and personality to the driver line-up. With a lifelong interest in trucks and vehicles, he’s turned that enthusiasm into a career he genuinely enjoys on the road.

A self-confessed pizza fanatic, Dom’s interests don’t stop at driving. In his spare time, you’ll often find him exploring his hobbies, which include trucks, cars, gaming, the outdoors, and collecting all sorts of interesting items.

Driving clearly runs in the family—his dad is also part of the Monaghan Freight team, making it a shared passion and profession. With his love for the industry and a wide range of interests outside of work, Dom adds great energy and character to the team.
